Energetic midfield performance was a breath of fresh air
Tom Cleverley was a second half substitute for Manchester United in Sunday’s Community Shield victory over the bitters and impressed with his energetic performance. Cleverley’s introduction resulted in a more dynamic and direct play in the centre of the park as well as some very good link-up play.
In fact, United’s second half performance was one of the better team performances in recent memory and there haven’t been too many recent matches where United bossed midfield so completely. Cleverley’s hustle as well as forward-looking approach were a breath of fresh air and I really look forward to seeing more of that this season.
Anyway….. I enjoyed Cleverley’s performance versus the bitters and hope you do too.

in the first minute he had like one successful pass that actually had some value, that cross to welbeck..he either passed it back, or to the nearest man.at that point i wasnt sure where the video guy was going with this, but from that point, actually from the assist to nani, everything clicked…one more thing, it isn’t just cleverley’s performance , it’s the movement of the guys around him that was perfect…that was an energetic team
