Man Utd impress at Milk Cup

Manchester United thumped Co Tyrone 7-0 in Tuesday night’s Premier section encounter in the Milk Cup.
James Wilson, Gyliano van Velzen, Joe Rothwell (2), Jack Barmby, Kenji Gorre and Jack Rudge were on target in the Coleraine Showgrounds rout.
Spurs beat Co Fermanagh 2-1 while Co Antrim won their second straight game by defeating Hartlepool United 3-2.
Everton and Ipswich enjoyed Junior section wins and Co Down secured a 2-0 victory over Hapoel Haifa.
Wilson pounced on a mistake before curling past keeper Jack Boggs to put United ahead in sunny Coleraine.
Tyrone went in just 1-0 behind at the break but the goals flowed in the second half.
Velzen fired into the bottom corner before Rothwell netted after outmuscling three opponents.
Barmby, the son of former Tottenham and Liverpool star Nick Barmby, added the fourth.
Rothwell’s superb 25-yard strike made it 5-0 and substitutes Gorre and Rudge completed the scoring.
Rothwell’s and Barmby’s goals are especially tasty, so enjoy the lashing.

David De Gea and Phil Jones both made their Manchester United debuts against the Chicago Fire and made positive impressions.

Talented midfielder scores yet another wonder goal
If I had to put money on one player making the step up from the academy to the first team, it would be Paul Pogba. The man has they physique and talent to make it at Manchester United and is a very classy midfield player.

3 classy goals
Manchester United extinguished the Chicago Fire with three classy second half goals. The Fire led at half-time, but Danny Welbeck and Gabriel Obertan were arguably the stars of the first 45 minutes. Sir Alex changed all his outfield players during the second half and the subs repaid him with some classy goals.

What an emotional roller coaster!
Manchester United had finally done it! They had knocked Liverpool off their bloody perch by winning a record 19th top flight league title. Sir Alex had achieved an incredible milestone and the team’s accomplishments appear even more amazing when one considers all the setbacks it had faced: from want-a-way strikers and injured wingers to ridiculous refereeing decisions and bullshit punishments handed out by the corrupt FA.
All-in-all it was an incredibly marvelous achievement and a fantastic way to say goodbye to the many iconic players who left the club during and at the end of the season: Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, Edwin van der Sar, John O’Shea and Wes Brown.
