Time for a small rant.
There is absolutely no legitimate reason why Chelsea should have called off today’s match 24 hours in advance when weather can change overnight. Several clubs across England and in various leagues managed to hold matches today – many of whom faced worse conditions than Roman’s mercenaries at Stamford Bridge – and yet Chelsea officials were certain on Saturday that the weather would present safety issues on Sunday.
It is blatantly obvious that Chelsea took the opportunity to cancel a match in which they didn’t fancy their chances and hope to face United at a later date when their form will have hopefully improved.
If I were a Chelsea rent boy – and I thank God that I am not – I would be absolutely embarrassed about the lack of class shown by Chelsea and by the blatant attempt to cheat.
Further disappointment should be aimed at the Premier League who have allowed this farce to take place.
Pictures from CCTV cameras published on the Republik of Mancunia blog show that there are no problems with the roads leading to Stamford Bridge.
My only hope is that the cancellation of the Chelsea – Man Utd match will backfire on Chelsea and cause them bigger problems later in the season. Karma is a bitch and she slaps hard.

Absolute load of shite!! Fulham and Hammersmith council are infamous in their interpretation of Health and Safety rules and issuing of certificates. It’s one of the key reasons why Stamford bridge has not been developed as they will not issue a Health & Safety licence with only one exit onto the fulham rd.
2nd point, let’s just calm down and actually look at United’s so called form?? They have flattered to deceive and have served up most average performances. Yes Chelsea have been playing poorly, but without Terry, Alex, Essien, Lampard and a Malaria recovering Drogba it’s proved that their back up squad is not of sufficient experience yet to take the place of the so called stars!!
Let’s calm down and accept that this was not United playing a bottom of the league team. But a team who had showed and excellent performance away to spurs the week before and were due to get one of their key midfielders back.
So let’s grow up and accept that far from a conspiracy that this was probably the call of a jumped up Health and safety jobsworth.

seeing as how only 2 premier league games happened this weekend should we apply your logic to all the postponed games? are arsenal scared of stoke for example?
isn’t it more likely that (however nice fulham broadway looked this morning) the game was cancelled because london’s transport links were nearly crippled by the snow (live in london? try getting a bus…i couldn’t even convince a taxi to take me home last night) but also given the conditions on the motorways, closed airports & advice not to travel unless absolutely necessary it would probably be a good idea not to encourage thousands of fans to travel from all over the country for a football match.

Doesnt matter what gloryhuning Chelsea fans say, they where running scared, they have flattred to decieve all season with their ageing squad and has now been found out for the average nobodies they are and got scared of the hammerin United was gonna dish out. Giggs, Scholes has missed games, Valencia out since Sept, Roo totally off form, defence struggled at start and ManUtd was off form in general, now the real United ae here and was gonna beat the rentboys and will have to wait to destroy the rent boys.
