Schweinsteiger signs a new contract till 2016

As reported on this site on Tuesday, FC Bayern Munich felt they were close to agreeing a new deal with Bastian Schweinsteiger and the midfield player announced today that he will stay with the German giants until 2016.
The German international was in the final 18 months of his contract, but he has now penned a new deal to keep him at the Allianz Arena until 2016.
Schweinsteiger announced on a microphone after the 3-0 defeat of St Pauli to the home fans at the Allianz Arena that he had pledged his long-term future to the German giants.
“I have extended my contract and will stay at FC Bayern until 2016,” said Schweinsteiger. “Long live Bayern!”
Schweinsteiger joins Philipp Lahm, Franck Ribery and Thomas Muller in signing a new deal at Bayern.

Knew it won’t happen. Always felt he was trying to get the best possible deal for himself with all these stories. Lot’s of players do that these days

This tactic that “agents” in general are using touting their player around other Clubs to apply pressure to the origin of their asset is becoming a joke.
Its just gonna come back and bite them in the @ss in time.
He was never coming to United(name one German that has played for United) or Real Madrid.
Just fanning Fans fantasies and building up expectation!

Would have been nice. Schweini is one of the best dynamic mids in the world. can do everything well and his bird is well fit. pity.

Another top player to snub yooooonited,doesnt want to play for a club in decline,cant blame him.Apparantly he was holding out for city,but was deemed not good enough so had to sign on again
