The day Chel$ki admitted they are scared of Man Utd

Dec. 20th 2010

Chelsea show lack of class

Time for a small rant.

There is absolutely no legitimate reason why Chelsea should have called off today’s match 24 hours in advance when weather can change overnight. Several clubs across England and in various leagues managed to hold matches today – many of whom faced worse conditions than Roman’s mercenaries at Stamford Bridge – and yet Chelsea officials were certain on Saturday that the weather would present safety issues on Sunday.

It is blatantly obvious that Chelsea took the opportunity to cancel a match in which they didn’t fancy their chances and hope to face United at a later date when their form will have hopefully improved.

If I were a Chelsea rent boy – and I thank God that I am not – I would be absolutely embarrassed about the lack of class shown by Chelsea and by the blatant attempt to cheat.

Further disappointment should be aimed at the Premier League who have allowed this farce to take place.

Pictures from CCTV cameras published on the Republik of Mancunia blog show that there are no problems with the roads leading to Stamford Bridge.

My only hope is that the cancellation of the Chelsea – Man Utd match will backfire on Chelsea and cause them bigger problems later in the season. Karma is a bitch and she slaps hard.

Dec. 19th 2010

Out of the frying pan, into the fire?

Manchester United are said to be on the verge of a £1.5bn takeover by Qatar Holdings, the investment arm of the emirate’s sovereign wealth fund, Qatar Investment Authority. They are the  third largest shareholder in the auto conglomerate, Volkswagen Group and have also accumulated a huge range of trophy assets in England. These include the Harrods store and spectacular London properties such as One Hyde Park, the Shard of Glass and the US Embassy in Grosvenor Square.

Qatar Holdings’ chairman, Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Bin Jabr Al-Thani, who is also Qatar’s prime minister, is said to be keen to add to their portfolio of investments and sees United as an iconic acquisition. The arrival of the Qatar billions would pave the way for the end of the controversial Glazer family reign.

Man Shitty confirm Carlos Tevez’ transfer request

Dec. 12th 2010

Leaving Man Utd has left Tevez in ruins

Earlier today, various tabloids broke the news that Carlos Tevez had handed in a transfer request. Seeing as his agent had just tried to renegotiate Carlito’s salary and the length of the contract, it does appear to be ugly negotiating tactics on part of the agent. A statement on City’s website states:

It is with disappointment that we confirm to our supporters that Carlos Tevez has submitted a written transfer request. The Club can also confirm that the request has been rejected.

The Club remains disappointed by this situation and particularly with the actions of Carlos’ representative.

Roberto Mancini and all at the Club have shown, and will continue to show, sensitivity to Carlos’ personal circumstances including the issue of his family being based overseas.  Indeed following his suspension as a result of the game against Bolton, Carlos requested, and was given, special dispensation by the Manager to take leave overseas.

The written transfer request is in stark contrast to Carlos’ stated position in both public and club contexts.  Significantly, over recent months, the Club has also received numerous requests from Carlos’ representative to renegotiate and improve his playing contract as well as more recently a request to extend that contract by another year.

However, in line with the Club’s policy of not negotiating playing contracts mid-season this has not been granted.  Carlos’ current five-year contract has three-and-a-half years to run and he is the highest paid player at the Manchester City Football Club.

This is both an unfortunate and unwelcome distraction and the Club will remain focused on the games ahead in what is turning out to be a very promising season.  The door remains open for Carlos to be selected to play.”
