CC Preview: Eikrem, Morrison & Brady on the Bench vs Wolves
Fergie to give youth a chance
Tonight’s Carling Cup match against Wolves could be a bit more exciting than anticipated with Sir Alex handing squad numbers to both Robbie Brady (37) and Ravel Morrison (49). It is also understood that Magnus Eikrem will be on the bench for tonight’s match.
Magnus Eikrem has been outstanding for the reserves since the beginning of last season and if you haven’t seen him yet, you should try to catch some reserves matches. Eikrem has very good vision and an excellent range of passing. He also has great confidence himself and has added a fair few goals from midfield.
Tonight’s side is likely to be similar to the one, which started against Scunthorpe with some slight changes due to injuries and the match being played only two days after the away tie with Stoke.
I’m hoping for Gabriel Obertan, as well as Bebe to get starts and will let my heart predict the starting XI instead of my head. Also, it is understood that Ben Amos might feature in goal tonight, but i think Tomasz Kuszczak is due some game time.
Starting XI: Kuszczak, Brown, Smalling, Evans (if fit), Fabio (if fit), Obertan, Carrick, Gibson, Park, Bebe, Macheda
Subs: Amos, O’Shea, Rafael, Eikrem, Morrison, Brady, Owen (if fit)

No word on Hargo yet? Wasn’t he pencilled in to return in this game?

Good review of the “likely” team for tonight.
I am left still thinking I wonder how serious Mick McCarthy will take the game and what sort of team he will field.
I am sure a £25000, fine is a sort of wee warning to him.A means to the end I guess.
I think if they field their best side and we field the one you are suggesting we might be needing a wee tonic laced with a lot of Gin to cry the night away.
Cmon united.
