Blades cut loan deal for De Laet
De Laet joins Sheffield on a 30 day loan
As reported yesterday, Sheffield United have moved to restore their defensive resources by bringing in Manchester United’s Ritchie De Laet on a 30 day loan.
The 22 year old Belgian International arrived at Old Trafford via Antwerp and Stoke City in January 2009 and made his senior bow five months later.

He has so far made six senior starts, was the Reds’ Reserve Player of the Year last season and can play right across the back four. Having lost Chris Morgan with a hamstring injury and Rob Kozluk with a jarred knee this week Gary Speed moved to cover the gap and said:
“We need versatile cover in case of further disruption and Ritchie will go straight into our squad at Leeds on Saturday.”I have seen him play loads of times, he’s a good, solid player and I’m very pleased to get him here.”
