VIDEO: Javier Hernandez scores twice against Gambia
Chicharito on good form again after recent goal-drought
Hot on the heels of his impressive goal against the Netherlands, Manchester United new boy Javier Hernandez has scored a somewhat fortuitous goal against Gambia.
A Gambian defender failed to clear his lines by scuffing his clearance and Chicharito hustled to get to ball and put it past the goalkeeper.
Hernandez then had a second opportunity after the Gambian goalkeeper parried a free-kick in the path off onrushing Mexican striker, but he was unable to make contact with the ball.
Chicharito then struck again 5 minutes after the restart to make it 2-0 showing good pace and determination to get onto the end of enticing cross. Check out his starting position in comparison to his team mate:
It’s not as impressive Chicharito’s recent goal against Holland, but it is always good for a striker to score in successive games. I hope Hernandez can build on these goals and take good momentum going into the World Cup. A good showing at the tournament will certainly fill him with confidence when he moves to Manchester.
Here’s the goal against Holland where you can see several of his attributes to get the goal: touch, awareness, pace, determination, a good leap and good heading ability:

another positive is that he’d been strugglin with his form a litte bit immediately after the united deal was anounced, hence why he didn’t start against england.
that now apears to be a thing of the past (despite the fact that the pressure’s been cranked up further prior to the WC) an hopefuly this will mean that he’s the 1st name on the team sheet again and we’ll get t see more of him in the world cup.

Good goals. But anyone who believes Hernandez is the savior of United’s problems then you’re very much mistaken.
I’ve seen Kleberson score goals like that, in the world
cup proper – and he was rubbish!
We need more than this.

whatever is said would go off only if Jvaier remains the man he is…..it does not take only the greatest players to be at united but let the boy be the boy….people will say more than what is necessary and when things gets better for the boy they will forget what they have said……give him the necessary teaching………the boy is special….united forever united till i die….chicharito shut the critics and be a true united for we expect real madrid making 200million pounds bid for you when you become the irreplaecable like ronaldo.

His positioning is very good and he is tall.
